PRO GREEN IDEA
I’ve got my renewal reminder by e-mail from Progressive. At the bottom of their e-mail is the picture of a green plant and the advice/suggestion: GO GREEN, GO PAPERLESS.
Yeah, I know: The Go Green Initiative is the hottest trend nowadays and most of the businesses are trying hard to score points in order to please their customers.
So I instantly imagined the following 2 logos for PROGRESSIVE Insurance Company:
(A.) PROGRESSIVE N ©
(B.) PROGRE(EN)SSIVE
©
Although self-explanatory
(they both emphasize, in green letters, the word GREEN) notice in the (B.)
version the strong suggestion that the business using this logo is “PRO GREEN.”
NOTE: 1. I’m not suggesting they’d change
their original name. But they can sign any of their Go Green Initiative (such
as the one mentioned in the first paragraph of this page) with (A.) or (B.);
2.
Obviously the letters that are not green in (A.) and (B.) don’t have to be
black: they can be any other color but green. Different fonts might also work.
I can’t imagine any other businesses
(in the Insurance Industry) having something so on the money that can be
associated with their very name. Can you come up with a counter-example?
